Musk: semaglutide helps him lose 27 pounds

Billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk announced on Twitter in October 2022 that he used semaglutide to achieve a successful weight loss transition.

A fan of this South African businessman uploaded a photo of him and asked him what the 'secret' to weight loss was. Fasting, "Musk replied, then added," and Wegovy (the trade name for semaglutide)

Musk stated that he lost a total of 30 pounds (approximately 27.2 pounds) with the help of the medication.

How does semaglutide scientifically exert its weight loss effect?

semaglutide is a glucagon like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonist that simulates the action of GLP-1, enhances insulin secretion, inhibits glucagon secretion, delays gastric emptying, increases satiety, reduces appetite and food intake, and achieves the effect of lowering blood sugar and weight loss.
